How long did it take those of you with decent page ranking to get where you are? I've been struggling with trying to bulk mine up a bit but it seems really slow.

What's the usual time frame to start getting a decent PR established?

I know that Google updates every three months.  I?ve been expecting a page rank update anytime soon.  I did all my SEO and I?m hoping that I could get a high page rank.  The page rank could really boost your income.

I don't think google has fixed a timeline for updating PRs.To get a PR for your site,it may take one week or one year that depends upon the SEO techniques you've adopted & how successfully you've attracted traffics to your site.

Updating PRs, Google indexed pages, SERP, Google caching, etc. is a continuous process. When ever Google hits sufficient number of backlinks,(also checks few other factors) PR is increased or decreased respectively.

And to improve PR, primary strategy is link building. And secondly keeping your site updated frequently to attract search engines with fresh content.

It varies depending on many factors like your blog reputations, backlinks to the blog you get and how quality they are, and how optimized your blog for search engines.
