Blog Traffic Generation Guide... Grin

You need to have good content for your blog to be successful no matter what your
niche is. We can't always assume that just because a particular blog
isn't receiving lots of traffic that they've failed to deliver on the content though.
In fact, many times someone's quality blog just isn't getting the kind of quality
traffic it deserves and is needed.  That's when it pays to have your plan
in place.

It's not all that different from planning a regular website except for one thing...
you can get a lot more traffic with your blog faster than you can with a regular
site!

For professional blogging to produce the most traffic,
there is a balancing act you've got to pull off well.

For instance, you want to be personable enough to connect,
but you don't want to divulge a whole bunch of private information
about your personal life either.
Also, learn to keep your head and be of an even temperment no matter what someone
else says in there comment. In business, you want solid facts to support
your stands and with your blog, avoid petty arguments and keep an upbeat and positive
feel to your content which will ultimately provide the most pleasant experience
for your readers and visitors as possible.

Really plan what you want each post to give to your reader in terms of quality value
before you post and make sure to post often to become a credible and reliable source
of expert information in your niche area of mastery. That's who people will buy from more, someone who has proven they know the niche inside out and that makes it more likely in their mind that your products will deliver on your promise.

RSS Feeds and Pinging

Rss feeds can help you get your content distributed
more quickly and so you should make sure to get as many
people subscribing to your rss feeds as possible.
Then, whenever you post more content, they'll receive an update
and it will be "new" so it contains higher value can very positively
increase sales.

The higher your pagerank and the more search engine spiders/crawlers
you have visiting your blog, the faster your new content
will appear in Google and the other search engines.

I've seen content appear within minutes in high pagerank sites so
it won't take more than a few hours to a day at the most usually
before your new content is live and ready to be seen by your
new readers and existing subscribers as well.

Do your best to make everyone who visits your blog subscribe to
a content feed or even your opt in list so that you can keep your
content in front of them often.

Making the maximum use of your rss feeds and pings will work well
to keep traffic coming back to your blog and also to generate more traffic.
If you've got other sites you'd like to promote using a blog, remember, all it takes is
just a link and recommendation from you to your reader to visit them
and there you are. You can also use auto-pinging and even auto drip feed to add content
to your blogs on autopilot which can greatly increase your productivity and traffic.

Nice and useful information, thanks. I just have mixed feelings about RSS feeds. When you submit your content to an RSS feeds, it implies that you allows other webmasters to republish your content, doesn't it? I worry some people will take advantage of the condition by creating auto blogs.
