Just to pick up on an interesting point Scott made in a reply to me. He mentioned that videos under two minutes were best for the likes of YouTube and similar sites.

I must be in the minority because I never watch anything that's as short as that. Usually something around five minutes or above I'll watch. It makes me wonder now how much good stuff I've been missing!

So how is it possible to make the most of such short time spans? Since I'll be reworking one and probably will end up doing it from scratch anyway, I thought I'd ask and try do it the right way this time.  Grin

Hi muchtolearn, just wanted to explain why I said two minutes or less.

When you use heyspread, some of the sites only allow about two minutes at most otherwise the video will be cut off at the two minute mark.

You can still use a longer one for youtube if you like than condense it down to under two minutes for the ones on heyspread.

I just wanted to clarify that.  I mostly use this for traffic if I am using it for affiliate marketing.

I think that viewers on Youtube would be more interested on watching the video if is just short and is on the target.  For me, I don?t like to watch those long videos because I tend to bore.

I just saw in some other thread here that videos are good for promotion and so I will also make them short.

I think it is better to have a short video when you don't have much to express. Longer length videos are preferable only when the video has capability to hold the viewer very strong.
