1. Keep your videos short.  Preferably a video should be under 1 minute.

2. Pick the right topic/tags for your video, just like when you're writing a keyword-rich content. Another tip is to get into  a high-ranking keyword, like say, bankruptcy, you can make a video called moral bankruptcy.

3. Syndicate your video.  Or distribute it.  Get to know a lot of bloggers and how to get your videos on their blogs.  If they like your video, you might get free links from them.  You can also pay some of the high ranking and influential bloggers to blog your video.

4. Set goals and measure them.  TubeMogul is a great tool for measuring your video goals

5. If you think that you can get away with writing a good SEO content about computer geeks and have a video about primates, think again.  Not only would it put off your viewers, and piss off the geeks, but video search engines are getting wilier.  Next generation video search engines will not only look at your tags and descriptions, most will come out with a speech recongition and face recognition technology to ensure that your video matches the content and index them correctly.

6. Use multiple formats.  No sense in driving those who only have AVI players, and your video is in WMV format.

7. Ideally, you should have one video per URL.  Your content and descriptions should help strengthen your video's rankings.

8. EMBED your video.

9. Always have a convenient way for viewers to link to your video, or to distribute it to their friends.

10. It might help to actually TRANSCRIBE your video and making the transcription available on the same page (this should work for short videos...less than 2 minutes tip, remember?
