Who has experience here on using one?

I have used this method before but it didn?t really give me good traffic since most of the visitors that I do get are leaving once the counter is finished.

Hi Dantes Peak,

With the manual traffic exchanges, it seems that the best way to maximize your time and efforts there, is by first asking yourself, "What are the people here who are using this manual surf here for?"

Most likely, the answer is not to find out more about some other opportunity (although many do),

but the reason they are there is the reason you are there too...to drive targeted traffic to YOUR offer.  Grin

With that out of the way, the fact that they have timers means that you only have a few seconds to capture their attention...and their contact info!

If using these at all, it is recommended that you use a squeeze page with your picture to build trust and some audio that plays immediately upon the visit with about 5 bullets of the benefits they can expect to receive

after opting in to your webform.

Of course, be sure to use an attention getting headline that highlights the overall benefits of what they can expect to have as a higher quality of life as a result of doing business with you.

Most actions are taken as a result of a strong, attention getting headline that promises a great benefit.

Hey Dante,

Just thought I'd add that giving them an incentive for subscribing will increase your conversions too!

Perhaps a free video that explains how they can triple their "insert your benefits here" with minimal investment and faster than usual turn around times for results.

Can I use them to get leads for my free cpa programs?

I?m thinking of joining one since they are the only one that could give my visitors some freebies while letting me earn.  Can you suggest a good cpa that would work on those manual surfs?

Hi Dantes,

Great question.

While I think that there are other ways that you can easily get some freebies to give away to your visitors such as private label rights to products that you can brand yourself as the author,

I don't see why you couldn't use them for cost per action incentivized promotions unless of course it was not allowed by the particular site in its terms of service.

Manual surfs are good for increasing your traffic stats.  However, if you join every TE program you will be spinning your wheels.

The best exchanges are those used by your target market or webmasters with similar interests, and offer a code for banner or link exchanges that can be placed on your websites.

I?m expecting that most of the ones that are using them don?t really know about those incentive programs yet because I never really know about those cpa when I was still using Manual surfs.  Those kinds of guys are the easiest toconvince since they don?t know about thing about cpa.

I can't say anything definite about this. There seem to be varied opinions. The question is: who uses manual surf now that we have auto surf? And people who do manual surfing or auto surfing are more interested in their credits than the sites they have to look at. So, I guess it isn't really a great method for traffic generation. Unless your site is so great that it grabs their attention.

Wow, a new record for me. I managed to read that whole thread and still not know what manual surf was. Cheesy That's what I like about this site though, it's always bringing new things to my attention.

Before I go delving more into it, is it worth me learning about it or should I just find out about auto surf that makingmillions mentioned? I don't want to be spending time looking at things that are now superseded.

Won't these affect your PR?  What about adsense? will google suspend your account?
